DRINKERS helped to create a new spring beer at the new Henley Brew House in Market Place.
The group selected the hops to flavour the beer with help from James Godman, the pub’s head brewer.
Adam Coleberd won the competition to name the beer with his suggestion of Hop Aboard.
About 600 pints were produced in the first batch and went on sale yesterday.
Mr Godman tells me that the beer is “quite hoppy with hints of lemon and grapefruit” and has a fresh, crisp taste.

OH, the bane of signwriters. The other day, I noticed that a poster on the clothes recycling bins in Greys Road car park in Henley correctly refers to “gentlemen’s” and “children’s” but the apostrophe goes missing when it comes to “ladies”.
