NATWEST is to close its Sonning Common branch, it was announced today.
The Peppard Road bank will close on August 29.
Villagers will still be able to use the cash machine to take our or transfer money and check their balance.
The bank says arrangements have also been made with the post office in Wood Lane for people to be able to withdraw cash and pay bills.
NatWest said the number of customers using the branch had dropped by nearly a third in recent few years to 29 people a week.
It said more people now use alternative ways of banking, including by telephone, in post offices and online.
A spokeswoman said: “We have advised staff and we are writing to our customers to make them aware of the closure and the different ways they can still bank with us.
“If customers are concerned about how this will impact their banking, they can go into the branch where staff will be happy to discuss the alternative options available.”
