AN exhibition of paintings by four prominent Scottish artists has opened at the Whittington Fine Art gallery in Henley.
The display showcases the work of Glen Scouller, Simon Laurie, Jock MacInnes and James McNaught, all members of the Royal Scottish Society of Painters in Watercolour and the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts.
Gallery owner Barry Whittington said: “All the artists are highly collected in the UK and abroad, so this is quite a special exhibition.
“Glen Scouller has been showing at the gallery for the last two years, but this is the first showing of work by the other three artists. On show will be French scenes and still life subjects, among others. The contrast in styles makes this a very interesting exhibition. There should be something for everyone.”
Pictures on display include James McNaught’s The Little Squeeze, 45cm x 38cm, which is on sale for £6,000, and Rooftops Chamaret, a French scene by Glen Schouller, a 36in x 42in oil on canvas. The exhibition opened to the public last week, and continues until Saturday, October 5.
