CELLISTS Julian Lloyd Webber and his wife Jiaxin have been making music together for some years and last year they wrote new music for an album together.
The pair have now announced that they will be playing in concert together in a national tour which comes to the Wycombe Swan in February.
Julian, brother of composer Andrew, is one of the best-known cellists of his generation.He and Jiaxin will be playing new works at the concert, featuring world premiŤre performances of duets for two cellos with piano as well as featuring music from the great composers across the classical spectrum from Vivaldi to Avro Pšrt, DvorŠk, Bach, Rachmaninov and Saint-SaŽns, among others.
Their tour started this week with a performance at the Cadogan Hall in Chelsea on Wednesday, December 11, and continues for 14 dates across the country, ending in March. The Lloyd Webbers will be joined by Pam Chowhan on piano.
The album, A Tale Of Two Cellos, was released on September 30 by Naxos.
