Jon Lord of Deep Purple celebrated

A CONCERT to celebrate the life of rock legend Jon Lord will be held at the Royal Albert Hall tonight (Friday).

Lord, who founded Deep Purple and lived in Fawley, died in July 2012 after suffering pancreatic cancer.

Deep Purple, Paul Weller, Rick Wakeman, Joe Brown and Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson are among those who will be performing.

The concert has been arranged by the Sunflower Jam charity, founded by Jacky Paice, wife of Deep Purple drummer Ian Paice.
