Festivals, Regattas and Events in Henley

Henley on Thames is possibly most famous for the annual Royal Regatta which attracts thousands of people all wanting to watch the world's finest rowers in action but the town hosts many annual events which all attract huge numbers of visitors and have helped Henley to build a reputation for hosting some of the best festivals in the country:

		World Village Market This colourful festival-style street market will be held in the Market Square Friday 16 to Sunday 18 September and promises a mouth watering feast of exotic foods for visitors to try.

		Henley Royal Regatta The Henley Rowing Regatta was first held in 1839 and has been held annually ever since, except during the two World Wars. Today, it is probably Henley's most famous, and possibly most prestigious, annual event attracting visitors from all over the world.

		Veterans' Regatta With Olympic champions like Sir Steve Redgrave taking part, the Veterans' Regatta is a popular event in the rowing calendar. Held on the Henley Regatta course, over 300 crews arrive in Henley from all around the world to compete in this summer regatta. Contact: 0771 880 7390

		Henley Town and Visitors' Regatta This Regatta offers around 30 trophies for competition, the most famous being the Town Cup which was one of the two trophies competed for at the first Henley "Royal" Regatta in 1839.
