FOLLOWING the college’s change to fully co-educational status in 2010 and investment in an extensive development programme, St Joseph’s is fast becoming Reading’s independent day school of choice for boys and girls aged from three to 18.
In September the college was pleased to welcome its first headmaster, Andrew Colpus, who is keen to develop the community feel of the college and build on the school’s excellent academic reputation.
High academic standards, combined with the right support and encouragement, enable pupils to achieve their potential at all levels, and excellent examination results are leading them to their first choice universities.
For St Joseph’s younger children, a new Early Years Centre has opened, which provides a purpose-built facility for three- to five-year-olds and offers priority for entrance into the preparatory school’s reception class.
A new school bus service now runs from Reading station, enabling pupils to travel from a wider area, and existing bus routes have expanded to Henley, Maidenhead, Thatcham, Ascot, Eversley and Wokingham.
The next open days are on Thursday, March 7, from 9.15am to 12.15pm for the preparatory school and Thursday, March 14 from 2pm to 4pm for the college.
