THIS month staff and children at the Old Station Nursery on Henley’s Fair Mile celebrated the first anniversary of being part of the small, family-run company. The nursery transferred from Orchard Farm Day Nursery last January and it has been a very busy 12 months, during which the team has grown and the nursery has opened a new pre-school room as well as a fantastic forest school.
To mark the occasion, Zoolab visited the nursery with a Wriggly Roadshow. The children met Tallulah the Tarantula, Rosie the Rat, a friendly corn snake, a large cockroach and a huge stick insect. They also learned how the animals behave and what they eat. Children and parents enjoyed a train-shaped cake, baked by nursery cook, Vicky.
Managing director Sarah Steel said: “We are really pleased with the changes we have made at our Henley nursery over the last 12 months and would love to show any families in the area around. We currently have some free places for two-, three- and four-year-olds. We have also recently extended our opening hours to help working parents.”
