Fantastic facilities and setting
Published 03/03/14

BRACKENHILL Stud is set in the most idyllic location. Driving through the impressive gates, with post and rail paddocks on each side of the drive, it is like going into another world.

The yard has a magical feel to it. Even the most stressed out horses come to our yard and settle within an instant. It is helped by the fact we are passionate about horses and horses respond to being cared for from the heart.

Our staff are hand-picked. We have only the best as we feel every horse should be cared for as if it was our own. Brackenhill has fantastic hacking and facilities including an indoor arena compete with viewing gallery. With the weather we have in this country the arena is essential as it means all year round you can ride in comfort, with the advantage that it is for the sole use of our lucky clients.

We have the benefit of being on the top of a hill, which means we are very fortunate to have all-year turnout. The stables are very roomy as Brackenhill was once a top racehorse stud. In fact, a Derby winner was bred there. Every horse and owner is treated as an individual, be it a happy hacker or a serious competitor. We have the benefit of some of the country’s top trainers, who teach at many different levels. As a family, we have vast experience with many different horses and varied disciplines and have the benefit of competing abroad.

Due to expansion we now have limited spaces for part/full or training livery. To arrange a coffee and a chat, please call 07597 935900.

Success stories at Brackenhill in recent months include homebred colt Valletta Hunters Song being invited to the International Crabbet Convention of pure bred English Arabs. He has very rare sought-after bloodlines which meant visitors from as far as Australia came to view the horse.
