ST Joseph’s College is fast becoming Reading’s independent day school of choice for boys and girls aged three to 18, with numbers continuing to rise year on year.
Headmaster Andrew Colpus is dedicated to continuing the improvement of the school.
He has already made significant developments in the curriculum and pastoral structure within his first two years at the school.
This is evident from an inspection carried out by the Independent Schools Inspectorate which took place in February this year.
The six inspectors who visited the school were impressed with both the educational and pastoral provision.
They noted that the curriculum “provides pupils with a rich learning experience” and noted that “teaching is effective in promoting pupils’ progress so that they thrive in an encouraging atmosphere”.
The school scored highly in other areas too, with inspectors commenting that “the personal development of all pupils throughout the school is excellent” and “the spiritual, moral, social and cultural development of the pupils is excellent”.
St Joseph’s College has excellent transport links.
There are several school bus routes serving Reading station and the local area including Nettlebed, Henley, Shiplake and Caversham.
There is also a late bus for pupils taking part in activities at the end of the school day.
The next open morning for prospective parents and pupils is on Tuesday, May 6. The event will begin with an address by the headmaster.
