Arrive in style in a festival river taxi

HOBBS of Henley are proud to be appointed River Taxi providers to the Rewind Festival once again in 2014.

Why not start or finish your visit to the Rewind Festival with a beautiful river trip?

Their vessels will be available from noon today, Friday, until midnight on Sunday to transport festivalgoers from Henley town centre (by the bridge) to the festival site and back.

The river trip takes about 15 minutes and incorporates the famous Henley Royal Regatta reach.

Passengers can buy a one-way ticket or, new for this year, a return ticket for 10. It is not possible to book and only cash payments are accepted.


The main departure point is by Henley Bridge, but at peak times they will also operate from a ‘chauffeured launch’ area at the Bridgeside Moorings on the Henley Bridge side of the ice cream kiosk.

There is no scheduled service but it is hoped there will be departures every 15 minutes on Saturday and Sunday and every 30 minutes (on either the hour or the half hour) on Friday. At peak times there will be more boats so passengers shouldn’t have to wait too long. Also new for this year, the Red Lion Hotel and Hobbs of Henley have teamed up to offer visitors a stylish and unique way of beginning their festival experience.

Food and drinks will be available to festivalgoers ‘alfresco’ on the Red Lion lawn by Henley Bridge where luxury river taxis will be available. Call (01491) 572035 to find out more.
