WELCOME to beautiful Henley-on-Thames, which sits on the banks of the River Thames on the edge of the stunning Chiltern Hills.

With a population of just 10,500, this historic town punches well above its weight when it comes to culture, sport, leisure and shopping.

It hosts the famous Henley Royal Regatta and is home to Leander Club, the most prestigious rowing club in the world. It also has two golf courses, football, rugby, hockey and cricket clubs and hosts a feast of festivals. There is a farmers' market on the fourth Thursday of each month as well as on five Sundays during the year. There is also a Continental and French market, an Italian market and two Keen, Green and Ethical markets. The town is a shoppers' delight with a large number of independent traders, including a chocolatier, antique dealers, traditional butchers, antiquarian booksellers and a shop dedicated to selling teddy bears. There are also outstanding hotels, restaurants and pubs.

Thousands of tourists a year flock to Henley to soak up the atmosphere, but you can enjoy the next best thing and explore the town using our Virtual Tour.
