At Cambell’s Lake at Milton Pools Johnson won landing carp on the pole at six metres with meat before switching to the inside with maggot over groundbait for a total of 178lb 8oz. This was well ahead of second placed Dick Shillitto with 100lb 2oz of carp caught on the pole at six metres with pellet and in third place was Trevor Pearce with 93lb of carp landed on the pole with meat.

The following week Billhook Lake near Odiham provided the venue as Johnson took top spot with 71lb 10oz of carp caught at five metres on the pole with meat and on the inside with maggots and groundbait.

In second place was Brian Bowles with 68lb 14oz caught down the edge on the pole with corn and in third place was Ade Bowles with 67lb 4oz landed on the pole with pellet.

Last Sunday Johnson once again took maximum points at Cheriton Farm at Farley Hill with a winning net of carp totalling 118lb 4oz caught short on the pole at five metres with meat and on the inside with maggot.



In second place was Graham Dodd with 103lb of carp landed on the pole with meat and pellet at six metres and on the inside and in third place was Paul Howard with 92lb 12oz of carp caught on the pole mainly on the inside with pellet.
