REMENHAM’S anglers travelled to Milton Pools Fishery to fish the 11th leg of the Summer Series with Campbells Match Lake being fished.

Dick Shilitto took full advantage of his favourable draw of peg one in the corner, fishing the pole both down the edge and across to the opposite bank with pellet to weigh in 191lb of mainly carp to win the match.

In second place was Steve Johnson fishing the pole at six metres with meat, weighing in 135lb 14oz of carp just ahead of Graham Dodd with 130lb 4oz of carp caught on the pole with meat and red maggot.

Section winners were Dave Wightman with 126lb 6oz and Ade Bowles with 95lb 8oz. The following week Billhook Lake near Odiham was the venue for the 12th and the penultimate leg of the series.

In this match it was Steve Johnson who went one better than his second place the previous week to win the match, landing 29 carp, all caught on the pole with meat for a total of 99lb 10oz.

Graham Dodd also improved on his third place in the previous match to finish in second position with 86lb 12oz of carp and silver fish caught alternating between the pole and method feeder with meat and pellet, and in third place was Trevor Pearce with 59lb 2oz of carp caught on the pole with meat.

Section winners were Wayne Box with 56lb 3oz and Dave Wightman with 52lb 6oz.

With just one round remaining and with each angler counting their best 10 results from the previous 12 rounds, both Dodd and Shilitto share the lead with 172 points, closely followed by Johnson on 169, Pearce on 163 and Wightman with 162.
