With the colder overnight temperatures the resident carp were reluctant to feed in any numbers early on in the match and it wasn’t until later in the day as the temperature rose that they came on to the feed.
Steve Johnson made the most of his peg fishing the pole tight in against the bridge to the island with red maggot and pellet and catching a dozen carp for a winning total of 56lb 14oz.
In second place was Ian Chaplin whose eight carp and a few small perch and chub all caught at 11 meters on the pole with red maggot totalled 42lb 13oz.
In third place was Graham Dodd with 39lb of carp and small chub all caught at 16 metres on the pole also on red maggot.
