REMENHAM Angling Socieity members travelled to Holme Grange Fishery on Sunday to fish the sixth leg of the winter series.

Most of the anglers aimed to target the vast stocks of roach in the lake on the pole close in but these failed to feed in any numbers so it was carp that made up most of the weights.

Dave Wightman started the match on the method feeder and landed two carp on pellet before switching to the pole and found few roach feeding but instead landed a further four carp on the pole with maggot to weigh in a total of 31lb 12oz to win the match.

In second place was Geoff Edwards with 25lb 11oz consisting of 7lb of roach plus five carp caught on the pole with maggot and in third place was Ian Chaplin with three carp landed on the method feeder with corn for 11lb 12oz.
