Triathlon returns

ENTRIES are open for this year’s Wargrave sprint triathlon.

More than 100 people are expected to take part in race on Sunday, September 7. Competitors will swim 750m in the Thames, cycle 20km and run 5km but the exact routes have not been finalised.

Last year’s event, which was won by RAF Benson helicopter pilot Phil Holdcroft, raised more than £1,000 for the Wargrave Festival committee and local charities.

This year’s beneficiaries will be the same plus Macmillan Cancer Support.
