Reigning champions increase their lead

SACRED Heart increased their lead in the defence of their overall cross country title last week following the latest races in the Chiltern Edge School Primary School series.

In all there were 12 races for Year 1 to 6 boys and girls in which 266 runners competed.

The latest results were as follows: Year 1 boys’: Ashar Gray, Nettlebed; 2 Oscar Garvin, Nettlebed; 3 Freddie Berioli-Smith, Sacred Heart. Year 1 girls’: 1 Brigit Ashby, Nettlebed; 2 Ruby Ellery, Sonning Common; 3 Yasmin Ridby, Trinity.

Year 2 boys’: 1 Joshua Sudbury, Woodcote; 2 Arthur Bottomley, Trinity; 3 Euan Shayler, Blewbury. Year 2 girls’: 1 Alejandra Thomas, Daneshill; 2 Rihana Street, Goring; 3 Bethan Coulson, Shiplake.

Year 3 boys’: 1 Olly Offwood, Nettlebed; 2 Tommy Handley, Sonning Common; 3 Joseph Woolhouse, St Mary’s. Year 3 girls’: 1 Matilda Manly, Shiplake; 2 Millie LeBeigge, Nettlebed; 3 Annabel Buff, Rupert House.

Year 4 boys’: 1 Henry Park, Whitchurch; 2 William Underhay, Whitchurch; 3 Charlie Allnutt, Sonning Common. Year 4 girls’: 1 Isabella Haines-Gray, Headington; 2 Evie Paton, Peppard; 3 Jemima Day, Kidmore End.

Year 5 boys’: 1 Nicholas Thomas, Daneshill; 2 William Gordon, Woodcote; 3 Ben Kellard, Daneshill. Year 5 girls’: Charlotte Ashby, Nettlebed; 2 Lizzie Ryan, Abbey; 3 Madeleine Hepworth, Sacred Heart.

Year 6 boys’: 1 Thomas Mennie, St Mary’s; 2 Kit Daly, Trinity; 3 Tom LeBeau, Moulsford. Year 6 girls’: 1 Evie Elson, Caversham Primary; 2 Lydia Godfrey, South Stoke; 3 Lola Batt, Sonning Common.
