Nicholas on anchor duty

AN athlete from Henley was part of a team that took part in the Blenheim Triathlon.

Nicholas Golding ran the 4.5km anchor leg for the Phoenixes, which finished 10th in the team sprint and was in the top 20 overall. The team also included Tamara Taylor, from Woodcote, who completed the 750m open- water swim, and John Heaton-Armstrong, from Oxford, who took on the 20km bike leg. The event drew more than 6,000 competitors.

Meanwhile, places are still available in this year’s Challenge Henley event on Sunday, September 8.

The event comprises a 3.8km swim on the royal regatta course, a 180km bike race through the Chilterns and a 42km run through Henley and along the Thames footpath. To enter, visit www.challengehenley.com
