SACRED HEART have a narrow one-and-a-half-point lead at the top of the overall school points table
SACRED HEART have a narrow one-and-a-half-point lead at the top of the overall school points table after the first of three Chiltern Edge winter series runs was held earlier this month.
The Henley-based school lead the way with 37.5 points with Sonning Common second on 36 and Trinity third on 25. In all 290 pupils, aged five to 11, competed.
The top three results for each age group were as follows:
Year 1 — girls, 1 Alahandra Thomas (Danes Hill), 2 Pia Watts (Trinity), 3 Jemima Hepworth (Sacred Heart); boys, 1 Joshua Sudbury (Woodcote), 2 Rocco Shaw (Stoke Row), 3 Freddie Unwin (Crazies Hill). Year 2 girls, 1 Sophie Stone (Kidmore End), 2 Jemima Ogston (Sonning Common), 3 Annabel Buff (Rupert House); boys, 1 Henry Charles-Pinnington (Trinity), 2 Tommy Lane (St Mary’s), 3 Tommy Hanley (Sonning Common).
Year 3 — 1 girls, 1 Isabella Haines-Grey (Headington), 2 Jemima Day (Kidmore End), 3 Rosie King (South Stoke); boys, 1 Jack Renders (Shiplake), 2 Ben White (Sonning Common), 3 Charlie Alnutt (Sonning Common). Year 4 — girls, 1 Charlotte Ashby (Nettlebed), 2 Annie Bunkers (St Mary’s), 3 Madeleine Hepworth (Sacred Heart); boys, 1 Nicholas Thomas (Danes Hill), 2 Ben Kellard (Danes Hill), 3 Finnbar Scott (Sacred Heart).
Year 5 — girls, 1 Clemmie Thrope (Stoke Row), 2 Lydia Godfrey (South Stoke), 3 Molly Rosi (Trinity); boys, 1 Ted Carter (Moulsford), 2 Thomas Hennie (St Mary’s), 3 Harry Roberts (Stoke Row). Year 6 — girls, 1 Mia Claridge (Blewbury), 2 Annabel Hems (Rupert House), 3 Scarlett Taplin (Sonning Common); boys, 1 Will Thompson (Sacred Heart), 2 Elio Babb (Peppard), 3 Theo Lock (Trinity).
The second race of the series is due to take place on November 7.
