BENSON Parish Council has agreed to spend £650 (plus VAT) to replace a section of the Millbrook Mead boardwalk.
The area is a small, marshy nature reserve, wildflower meadow and hazel coppice located alongside the Ewelme Brook south west of the A4074. The boardwalk was built in 2007.
Councillor Patricia Baylis said the structure was slowly declining but one section needed replacing urgently.
She suggested the repairs were carried out by the Green Gym team, supervised by Councillor Tom Stevenson.
Cllr Stevenson said the work was needed on a 10m section of the boardwalk nearest to Preston Crowmarsh.
The money would be used to buy materials and replace the rotten wooden structures with plastic and a new timber top.
