Harpsden close gap

HENLEY and District Billiards League leaders Trinity Hall saw their lead at the top of the

HENLEY and District Billiards League leaders Trinity Hall saw their lead at the top of the table narrowed after they went down 5-4 against lowly Twyford A.

Local rivals Harpsden closed the gap to just two points after they picked up a 6-2 win against Twyford B.

Elsewhere Ivy Leaf A had the edge over Ivy Leaf B as they won 6-5, Park Inst A beat Earley HG 6-5 and Berks CS beat Park Inst B 6-5.

With just two league matches of the season remaining the current league standings after 16 matches played by all sides is as follows: 1 Trinity Hall, 91 points; 2 Harpsden, 89; 3 Earley HG and Ivy Leaf A, 87; 5 Park Inst B, 84; 6 Park Inst A, 81; 7 Berks CS, 77; 8 Twyford A, 74; 9 Twyford B, 69; 10 Ivy Leaf B, 67.
