Visitors have the edge

HENLEY had mixed fortunes in their first match of the season against TRENTHAMS, in a six rink friendly fixture.

Winning on three rinks and losing on three, the visitors ran out winners by 109 shots to 89.

Henley’s winning rink was by Barrie Davies with number two Sally Daniells and lead Richard Kingston. The trio were six behind after five ends before rallying and finishing 25-10 winners.

Scores (Henley names): John Rees, Pat Hawes, David Silvester 16-15; Theresa Dombey, Colin Ward, Maurice Robins 19-11; John Hawthorne, Di Woodford, Frank Powell 11-19; Richard Kingston, Sally Daniells, Barrie Davies 25-10; Jim Woodford, Norman Daniells, Val Rees 6-28; Dilys Smith, Roger Sayer, David Burdon 12-26.

PEPPARD ran out 104-99 winners at home to MAIDEN ERLEGH on Monday.
