Shiplake topple reigning Unity League champs

HENLEY lost out in their first Manchester Unity League match of the season on Wednesday of last week when they went down to four rinks to one against PALMER PARK.

Henley’s winning rink was skipped by Gill Robins with Norman Daniells at two and Andy Scott as lead as they ran out 20-14 winners.

Scores (Henley names): D Maybury, D Woodford, D Silvester 10-21; J Woodford, S Daniells, M Robins 9-18; A Crisa, L Snellgrove, B Davies 12-26. R Kingstone, V Rees, J Hawthorne 13-21.

HENLEY triumphed by 62 shots to 55 at HEADINGTON on Sunday in a mixed friendly.

The visitors won on one rink, drew on two and lost on one. The winning rink was skipped by R Kingston with T Dombey at two and Andy Scott as lead, as the triple won 23-8.
