HENLEY ran out winners away to PANGBOURNE in the Oddfellows Triples League on Wednesday of last week.
The visitors won on three rinks as they triumphed 98-79 to pick up eight league points to the hosts’ four.

SHIPLAKE defeated visitors HURST in their recent Oddfellows Triples League clash by 39 shots (107-68) to secure eight points to four.
Graham Kennedy was level at the seventh, but his opponents pulled away to win by nine. A seven on the ninth, followed by a five and finally a six on the last gave Tony Reid a convincing victory by 16. In a match where a two was the highest score on an end Wendy Cross just lost out by three.
Picking up 18 shots in 10 ends on the trot gave Barrie Evans a convincing win by 13. The biggest winners of the evening were skipped by Barry Lambourne who won by a massive 22 with his opponents not reaching double figures.

WARGRAVE LADIES defeated WOODLEY on Tuesday of last week by 29 shots to 27. The winning rink for Wargrave was that of Linda Ferneaux, Mary Trussler and Phyl Edwards who won 13-5. On the same day in the Kennet League match WOODLEY defeated WARGRAVE by 91 shots to 70 to secure six league points to four. Wargrave’s winning rinks were those of John Avery, George Smith, Barry Holder and Graham Whiting who won 18-14 and Pete Burton, Ray Gardiner, Ray Trussler and Roger Prew who won 21-20.
In a friendly match against SUTTONS on Wednesday of last week, WARGRAVE lost out by 109 shots to 83. Wargrave won on two rinks, the best of which was that of Terry Blake, David Smith and Pete Burton who triumphed 17-11.
Last Friday WARGRAVE defeated BRACKNELL C 70-29 in the KLX competition to gain 10 points to 0.
All three Wargrave rinks won, the best of which was that of Brian Turnbull, George Smith and George Hedges who won 32-7.
Last Saturday WARGRAVE triumphed at home to BURNHAM in a friendly match by 90 shots to 73. Best Wargrave winning rink was that of Valerie Sims, Ray Trussler and Michael Pope.
On Sunday Wargrave hosted their club triples event which was won by Mary Coster, Brian Turnbull and Mary Trussler.
