Fifty years on, nursery is friendly, caring and quality

Fifty years on, nursery is friendly, caring and quality

ESTABLISHED in 1966, Shiplake Village Nursery offers a friendly and caring quality pre-school environment (based on the Early Year Foundation Stage) for children aged from two and a half to school age.

The nursery is conveniently situated next to Shiplake Memorial Hall and is surrounded by open countryside.

Our primary aim is to provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment in which children can learn through play and positively develop their social, emotional, physical and intellectual capabilities.

We offer a broad and balanced curriculum based on every child’s individual needs.

Weekly activities include: Spanish, letter of the week, drama, cookery, gardening, woodland walks, role play, painting, water play, reading, music and movement, multicultural experiences — the list is endless!

The nursery employs a team of five highly experienced and well qualified staff and has recently been rated “good” by Ofsted (June 2016).

The Ofsted report said: “All children make good progress. They develop strong literacy, and mathematical skills in readiness for the move to school.”

Don’t just read all about us, come and see for yourself by emailing registrar@

We look forward to welcoming you.
