THE children at Treetops Nursery in Station Road, Henley, have been enjoying using touchscreen.

Touchscreen technology allows the children to learn through genuinely interacting with the applications by using the most natural way of showing or indicating, by pointing and using their fingers.

They can create a picture, make decisions within a story and learn about shapes and colour. The children have particularly enjoyed counting the ladybird’s spots. This is a counting game where they need to put the right amount of spots on to the ladybird.

The children are developing social, emotional and technological skills through using the touchscreen computer, as well as developing fine-motor skills such as hand-eye co-ordination.
