Ducklings, swans ... and crocs

THE Ducklings Room at Cygnets of Henley has had several changes made to it

THE Ducklings Room at Cygnets of Henley has had several changes made to it - the room now has a lovely separate area where the children can enjoy looking at books and explore their senses with the many different sensory resources available to them.

We have also rearranged the room and the children are enjoying the new layout, which includes a table with a train track set on it and a crocodile which has many different things to do on it such as spinning a wooden wheel, magnets, cogs, etc.

The Swans Room theme has been families. The children have been drawing pictures of their families and parents have brought in family photos for us to put up on our display board. The children have also baked shortbread characters of their family members.

Our holiday club is proving to be very popular. So far the children have enjoyed a Space Week and an Under the Ocean Week. This week is about being at the beach.

The children at Cygnets of Henley experience many different activities to do with the different themes. In space week, one of the activities was to dress up as space people using tinfoil, which they wrapped around each other to make costumes.

Another activity saw the children make a fresh seafood salad to take home for their families to enjoy.
