Learn all about Henley’s horrible history

THIS February half-term, escape the windy weather and join the team at Henley’s River and Rowing Museum

THIS February half-term, escape the windy weather and join the team at Henley’s River and Rowing Museum for a fun-packed week of family activities.

Get into the spirit of the Year of the Monkey and celebrate Chinese New Year by making lanterns and lucky charms on Monday (February 15).

The following day, children can get creative at a Pirates and Parrots craft morning, making a 3D pirate ship complete with its own parrot!

Older children can get messy with Modroc on Wednesday, February 17, making mythical beasts and creative creatures.

The highlight of the half-term week is Henley’s Horrible History on Thursday, February 18, from 10.30am to 4pm.

Featuring Mathew Ward from the hit TV show Horrible Histories, and students from Gillotts school, visitors can delve deeper into Henley’s horrible past!

Families can make the smelly food that Roman rowers ate, get lost on a giant jigsaw of Henley and have a go on an exhausting ergo.

The River and Rowing Museum in Mill Meadows runs a full programme of family days and children’s events, with family days every half-term, art workshops, the under-fives’ club Taylor Tugs and craft activities for all ages.
