Bookshop marks move across the street

A BOOKSHOP in Henley held a party to celebrate its relocation after 18 years.

A BOOKSHOP in Henley held a party to celebrate its relocation after 18 years.

More than 60 people attended the event at Jonkers Rare Books, which has moved from a Grade II listed building in Hart Street across the road to the former Rive Gauche boutique, which closed last year.

Guests were served champagne and cellist William Harris played music.

Shop founder Christiaan Jonkers said: “The shop was full and everybody had a good time. It gave those people who hadn’t already been in a chance to have a look around.

“I’m pleased with the move. We are better able to showcase our books and be more accessible and inviting.”
