A TOUR operator based in Henley is celebrating its 10th anniversary
A TOUR operator based in Henley is celebrating its 10th anniversary.
Savile Row Travel, in Market Place Mews, was started by managing director Giles Hoff in London in 2006 and moved to Henley three years later.
The company, which has five employees, provides tailor-made holidays for clients while its sister company Feelgood Holidays focuses on beach and family holidays and honeymoons.
Customers receive a personalised travel wallet with their travel documents and itineraries. The company will also write out luggage tags and provide appropriate denominations and currencies for tipping.
Complementary taxis to and from the airport are provided along with a takeaway menu and vouchers for customers from Henley.
Mr Hoff, 44, from Nettlebed, said more than half of his clients were repeat customers or referrals. He said: “We have a deep insight into some of the resorts which others just would not know.
“We know everything from which rooms face sunrise and sunset to what colour the taps are.”
The business will stay in the mews while it is being redeveloped into 14 flats and 16,000sq ft of retail space by the owners Catalyst Capital. Mr Hoff said: “They are not touching our building as it is listed and they can’t change the use but you will only be able to access us from the market place.”
The company is to hold an anniversary party at Henley Rugby Club at the end of the year. It is also running a travel themed photography competition which will be judged by photographer Charlotte Snowden, from Checkendon.
