THE Mill at Sonning has been named the most welcoming theatre in the South-East.
It was one of 200 theatres in the country to enter the UK theatre awards, which are voted for by the public, and will now forward to the grand final at a ceremony at the Guildhall in London on Sunday.
Managing director Sally Hughes said: “We’re delighted to have won. The award is all down to the loyalty and friendliness of our staff in all areas of the business.
“We pride ourselves on being welcoming to everyone who visits, from the actors who perform here to our customers, and we’re very excited to be attending the awards ceremony.”
The Mill, a former flour mill, has been running for more than 30 years.
