Designer goes digital

A WOMAN from Watlington has launched a website selling homewares by British artists and designers.

Jules Hayman, 44, of Church Street, has been an interior designer since 2000 and created Hunters & Collectors because she wanted to worked for herself.

She said: “It is a really exciting time although it is always nervewracking starting a new business.”

The website represents five British artists and designers, including furniture artist Bronwyn Hahn, who has a studio in Watcombe Manor. Mrs Hayman said: “When we met we hit it off. I love the fact that I am working with a local artist and she has commissioned unique pieces for the website.”

Mrs Hayman, a mother-of-two, whose husband, Ben, works for the Government’s digital services team, hopes to grow the business and open a showroom within two years.
