Brakspear freezes price of a pint

BRAKSPEAR has frozen the price of its beer.

The pub company says the move is designed to avoid passing on an increase in production costs to its tenants.

The freeze will apply to all Brakspear beers supplied to the company’s 129 pubs.

Brakspear beer is brewed under licence at the Wychwood brewery in Witney and the micro-brewery at the Bull in Bell Street, Henley, which opened in March.

Chief executive Tom Davies said: “A pint of cask ale is one of the main attractions of a visit to the pub and, by holding the price of Brakspear beers, we can help to make it a more affordable pleasure for thousands of pub-goers.
