Award for caterer

CONTRACT caterer Charlton House, which is based in Dunsden, has won an award.

It received the Corporate Vitality Honour from Footprint Forum for its “Passport to Health” initiative at Gatwick airport, which encourages all on-site employees to eat healthily.

One example is the “grab-and-fly” breakfast of porridge oats and fresh and dried fruits which is offered to air crews.

Chief executive Caroline Fry said healthy eating helped to reduce staff absenteeism and improved productivity, adding “It underpins everything we do.”
