Another local for sale with ‘residential potential’

ONE of Whitchurch’s two pubs is up for sale and could be converted into a house.

The Greyhound in High Street has been put on the market for £475,000 plus VAT.

Owner Punch Taverns says the sale is a “commercial decision” but that it hopes to sell the pub as a going concern and it will stay open until it is sold.

However, the company’s property consultants Drake & Company have highlighted the pub’s “residential development and conversion potential” in their marketing material.

Landlords Bob and Carole North have handed in their notice but it’s not known when they will leave and the couple did not want to comment.
