Charity run

HUNDREDS of staff members from Henley-based fund management company Invesco Perpetual ran their first ever Sport Relief Mile.

They ran around the perimeter of Perpetual Park on Friday raising much needed funds for the charity.

The race was opened with a firing shot from chief executive Mark Armour and fund managers, analysts and others in fancy dress ran three laps.

David Bower, Invesco Perpetual’s head of marketing EMEA, said: “Invesco Perpetual is proud of the enthusiasm, fervour and most definitely the humour with which everyone came together and got truly active for Sport Relief. Our aim was to raise money to help change the lives of vulnerable people in the UK and across the world - a great first effort and no doubt not our last for Sport Relief.”
