Junk shop opening

THE owner of a new shop in Henley is promising to stock an “Aladdin’s cave” of items.

The Junk Shop will open tomorrow (Saturday) in an outbuilding behind Island Massages in Reading Road.

Iain Ryan, 50, who runs Island Massages, said: “It’s going to be decent junk, not just rubbish — everything from collectable items such as models to furniture and household electrical items.

“We’re not talking about high-end antiques but a real curio emporium where people can have a good old rummage.”

Mr Ryan, who lives in Reading Road, said he would also sell on behalf of customers in exchange for a small commission.
