Waste firm takes over cleaners

WASTE management company Grundon, of Ewelme, has acquired Arundelle, a specialist industrial services and cleaning firm based in Wallingford.

Grundon says the move will allow it to expand its range of services into areas such as decontamination, site decommissioning, pollution control and scheduled inspection and maintenance.

Managing director Clayton Sullivan-Webb said: “This acquisition is the culmination of a long-standing relationship between our companies and I believe it is the beginning of an exciting new growth period for our business. The expertise and strength of Arundelle’s specialist teams will enable us to widen our offering across the industrial cleaning arena and pursue new opportunities in key sectors, such as hospitals, universities, laboratories and factories.”

Arundelle managing director David Green will join Grundon in a new role of industrial services manager and its five key employees will also make the move.
