Empty shop becomes bridal store for TV drama

AN empty shop in Henley town centre was brought back to life for a TV drama, writes David White.

Scenes for Valentine’s Kiss, a two-part romantic family saga, were shot in Market Place on Wednesday.

The former Revolution store, which closed in May last year, was turned into a wedding shop called Brides of Henley for the filming.

The scenes featured lead character Valentine, played by German actress Katja Weitzenböck, and her daughter Sophie, portrayed by Mr Selfridge actress Zoe Tapper, leaving the shop after choosing a wedding dress.

The show is being made for German TV but could also be shown on Channel 5 next year.
