Enchanting Georgian riverside home with an adjoining studio

SET on the banks of the river Thames in Henley, The Old House is an enchanting, principally Georgian house, listed Grade II, being of historical and architectural importance.

The present owners undertook a major restoration project in 2006 and completely modernised the main house to include a new roof, re-wiring, re-plumbing, installing new bathrooms, a bespoke kitchen and underfloor heating to the main reception rooms and kitchen/breakfast room.

Adjoining the house is a later addition, probably built in the 1950s as an artist’s studio. This has only been generally updated and used as additional space when entertaining, and is ideal for parties.

This has the potential to be enlarged and maybe to provide a small wet boat house for the new owner, subject to all the planning consents being gained.

This is a particular feature of the property and is a rarity with a house in the town on the riverside.
