A CASH machine which was out of order for six weeks is working again.
The device at the former NatWest bank in Sonning Common had not been working since the branch closed on August 29.
The bank told customers the machine would remain until a new site for it could be found. Security firm G4S is responsible for its maintenance.
Parish councillor Dirk Jones, who led a campaign against the closure of the bank, said he had been able to obtain cash from the machine on Saturday for the first time since August.
He said: “It was operational but the screen was playing up a bit, which would have made it difficult for people who can’t see very well.”
