Landlord comes home

A PUB in Henley has been re-opened by a former landlord in the town.

A PUB in Henley has been re-opened by a former landlord in the town.

Jeremy Buckler says he feels he is “back home” after taking over the Anchor in Friday Street. He previously ran the Angel on the Bridge for 16 years before buying the Christopher Hotel in Eton, which he continues to jointly own.

Mr Buckler said: “I have lived in Henley for the last 26 years and have always wanted to come back but the Anchor was the only pub I would have come back for. It is close to the river and it’s a great locals and regulars pub.” He has redecorated the pub and said: “There are new bars, new floors and a new range of beers and by April we will be serving food all day.”
