A SUPERMARKET in Emmer Green has bought new uniforms for staff at the local pre-school.

Budgens in Cavendish Road agreed to pay for the polo shirts, zip-up sweatshirts and waterproofs for each of the 12 members of staff at the pre-school in Grove Road.

Wendy Robins, the pre-school?s manager, said: ?The children always look for our teddy logo so it is nice to have it visible on our uniform.?

Store manager Simon Watson said he wanted the business to be seen to be giving something back to the community.

?We like to help out and improve our relationship with our customers,? he said. ?A lot of the children?s mothers come into the store after picking them up from school and then the kids grow up and come shopping here as well.?
