MORE than 100 Brakspear’s pubs around the country are featured in a new guide book. Best Of Brakspear costs £2.50 and is available to buy from the company’s pubs. Emma Sweet, Brakspear’s marketing manager, said: “All the Brakspear pubs are unique — they look different and they have different menus. Orwells in Shiplake offers absolutely top-class restaurant-quality dishes, and the Old Bell in Henley only serves peanuts — and then there is everything in between. Brakspear is known for its beautiful quaint country pubs but then we have places like Bar Txt in Croydon which is really trendy and fashionable with a focus on cocktails.”
Brakspear are offering four Standard readers the chance to win a copy of the guide and a £25 bar tab at the Brakspear pub of their choice. To enter, answer the following question:
What is the name of the trendy Brakspear pub in Croydon?
Send your answer, with your name, address and contact number to Brakspear Competition, Henley Standard, Caxton House, Station Road, Henley, RG9 1AD.
The winners will be the sender of the first four correct entries to be selected at random after the closing date of Friday, March 29 and will be notified by phone.
