Brewery wins two awards for rebrand

LODDON Brewery has won two prizes at the Society of Independent Brewers’ business awards.

LODDON Brewery has won two prizes at the Society of Independent Brewers’ business awards.

It won the best individual pump clip for Hocus Pocus, its ruby red old ale, and the best range of bottle labels at the BeerX event in Sheffield.

It comes after the Dunsden brewery rebranded last year to mark its 10th anniversary and all its beer labels, pump clips and the company’s website were redesigned.

Sales manager Luke Hearn said: “This is a great result. We worked incredibly hard on our rebrand and it’s fantastic to win public recognition from our peers and industry experts.

“We’d like to thank the teams at We Are Pure and Label Apeel who worked so closely with us throughout the whole project.

“The past year has been a challenging one for everyone involved in brewing and selling beer but this success shows that it’s still possible to do things that develop the business.”

Keith Bott, society chairman, said: “Brewing a quality craft beer isn’t in itself a route to commercial success — brewers need to market their beers, design professional pump clips and labels, support their customers and engage with their communities.

“With talented and dedicated individuals like the team at Loddon Brewery at the forefront of local brewing, we should be optimistic about the prospects for the sector, which is continuing to show growth well ahead of the total UK beer market.”
