Home care approval

A HOME care firm which serves Henley and South Oxfordshire has been praised by the industry regulator.

The Care Quality Commission carried out an inspection and found Home Instead met all its required standards.

The company, which provides bespoke home care for the elderly, was praised in feedback from clients.

One called the service “excellent” and another said: “Staff treat people with respect and encourage independence.”

Paul Westgarth, who owns the company, said: “We are pleased to have received the stamp of approval from the CQC after our first inspection.

“Amid reports in the media that care organisations are lacking in crucial areas of care, it is really important that people are able to access information about quality providers in their area to give them peace of mind.

“We place our clients’ needs and wishes at the centre of everything we do and I was particularly pleased that he report validates our commitment to our clients.

“Perhaps the most telling comment in the report was from a client’s relative who said, ‘We have been involved in two other agencies prior to Home Instead and think the service is fantastic and we would recommend them to others’.”
