THAMESFIELD retirement village in Henley is one of the first members of the new Associated Retirement Community Operators.

The association, which was launched at the House of Lords last week, aims to drive up the quality of care and housing provision in the sector and raise awareness of retirement communities.

Jon Gooding, chief executive of Thamesfield’s parent company Retirement Villages, said: “It brings added measurement, confidence and credibility to a sector which will play a major part in the shaping of housing and care provision of the ageing population in future years.”
