A TEAM of 100 Savills participants braved the cold waters and windy weather for the Jones Lang LaSalle Property Triathlon last Friday, gaining first place in both the men’s relay and third place in the women’s individual race.
Co-sponsored by Property Week and co-ordinated by Human Race, the Jones Lang LaSalle Property Triathlon is now firmly established as one of the UK’s largest triathlons. The event has raised more than £1 million to date for charity with the Samaritans selected as its charity partner for 2013/2014.
The event attracts all levels of competitor, from complete novices to more seasoned triathletes. Comprising a 750m swim, 21.2km cycle and a 5km run, participants can race as individuals or gather a team of three to form a relay.
More than 2,500 competitors took part in the event and the Savills team of 100 participants was the third largest team entry.
Team Angry Koalas, made up of Phil Brown, Rob Linnell and Nick Rees from Savills’ Oxford office triumphed in the relay with a time of 1:00:28.
Meanwhile, Alison Bird of Henley Lettings team was third overall woman in a time of 1:16:28.
Matthew Baddeley who organised the Savills team said: “We are delighted with the efforts of all those who participated in this year’s event. It was fantastic to see so many flying the Savills colours and a terrific bonus to be bringing home trophies too.”
