Pub back in business

A PUB in Henley that closed when the landlord left for health reasons earlier this month has re-opened.

A PUB in Henley that closed when the landlord left for health reasons earlier this month has re-opened.

The Beer Tree on the corner of Greys Road and Duke Street is being run by a management company on an interim basis while owners Brakspear seek a new tenant.

Brakspear chief executive Tom Davies said: “We are confident that we will find someone who will make the most of the undoubted potential of the Beer Tree, which was trading successfully until the departure of our previous tenant due to health reasons.”

New Zealander Paul Campion took over the former Boathouse in January last year and re-opened it as the Beer Tree following refurbishment. The pub offered more than 200 bottled beers.

The pub was previously run by Dan and Tracey Taverner.
